WELCOME THROUGH MY RED DOOR!
Tonight we’re celebrating my daughter’s birthday.
It’s hard to believe that she’s a young adult already!
Time’s flying by so fast…you know how it is…
She was just a little girl, seems like yesterday!
She’s had many birthday parties in her lifetime. She loves parties…having her favorite friends, family, people around her.
When I think back over the years, I think of her with awe!
She’s turning into quite a girl! I mean woman!
It’s been amazing to watch her grow up into the woman she’s becoming.
She’s always seemed to have a mind of her own…even from when she was a baby.
I remember once when she was still in the crib, I went into her room one morning to take her down for breakfast. She was sitting there turning the pages to her book; she shook her head and somehow in her limited vocabulary let me know she was busy at the moment ~ breakfast would have to wait!
I knew right then that she was going to speak her mind every chance she got AND that she would love books!
I don’t think I’ve ever pegged anyone so accurately, ever! Not that I go around pegging people.
But that was easy!
So now as she turns another year older, I want to wish her the best of everything life has to offer. I’ve always wished her these things, but don’t know if I’ve always told her.
There are so many things I wish for her but in short I simply wish her good health!
First, I wish for her spiritual health.
That she’ll put God first in her life and turn to Him for everything.
For her mental health.
That she’ll stay strong minded, always think clearly and wisely; use common sense, not let herself get down and will tackle her problems in life head on!
For her emotional health.
Courage and strength of character. Compassion for her fellow man and passion in all her endeavors.
For her physical health.
That she’ll take care of her body, respect it and nourish it.
And her financial health.
So she’ll work hard and be responsible.
And of course I wish for her
Love and Happiness.
Happy Birthday Baby Girl! Oh, I mean Young Lady!

What a beautiful post in honor of your daughter. Happy Birthday to her. It is funny how little ones will often show their true colors so very early. What a beautiful table and beautiful wishes you have made for her.

This is going on the top of my list for sure. I love the red and white, and the stemware is just beautiful. So is that centerpiece.
ReplyDeleteWhat I liked best, though, was reading your loving tribute to your daughter. I can tell that you are a mother after my own heart.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to her!!
Many happy returns to your daughter! What a loving tribute from a sweet mom, too!
ReplyDeleteLoved your pretty table, and I especially love your birthday plates. I can tell that table was set with lots and lots of love.
I shared my MIL's 80th for this week.

ReplyDeleteIt is hard to think of our kids as adults, but they do grow so fast! Your table and messages to your daughter are beautiful. I hope you have many happy times with her. Linda
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly happy that you stopped by for a visit and that you left me a comment. It lead me straight to your red door and I am so glad I came. Your birthday celebration table is beautiful. Your daughter sounds so much like mine...strong willed :) Do come by again and say "hi" whenever you can.

Happy birthday, young lady!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely tribute to your daughter. I couldn't help but grin when she let you know in no uncertain terms that she was reading -- and you would just have to wait! My 14-mo-old grandson did me the same way earlier this week. I loved it! Seems just yesterday his mother was the one telling me "no." Yes, they do grow up quickly, but with the obvious love, support, and encouragement you give your daughter, I have no doubt she will do well! God's richest blessings on you all...
Thank you all for stopping by and leaving your kind and generous comments to my daughter's birthday celebration! This one was a lot of fun!
